And so it begins. From now on, every time a team steps on the field it is either one step closer to glory or to the airport for a flight home. In the BISERGS the stakes couldn't be higher for Emilie, Derek, Greg, Axel and Brian. Every one of their remaining teams is in action. If the results go their way, they will climb the BISERGS rankings and live to see another day. If not, they will be the first BISERGSers to say goodbye.

It's Europe against South America in day one of the knockout stage. France and Argentina are followed by Uruguay and Portugal. Victories by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionell Messi would set up a mouthwatering quarterfinal matchup between the two superstars. Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezman, Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani are stars in their own right and hope to become national heroes by guiding their teams to glory well beyond this early stage of the tournament. Four countries battle, but only two will survive.
For our top BISERGS hopefulls, Dawn and Rick must have a French victory if they have any ambitions of winning this summer. Krista fields two of her three remaining teams. Both must win if her BISERGS dreams are to become a reality. A Portuguese victory will push Gray and Kelley ahead of Rachel (Uruguay) at the top while an Uruguay win would help Evan move ahead of his brother and Kelley into second place. The BISERGS is about to get real.
