The Favorites Take the Field

In the BISERGS draft and in almost all predictions before the World Cup started, two teams have been identified as the favorites this summer:  Germany and Brazil.  Today they take the field for the first time and fittingly one of the favories to win the BISERGS, Carol Barrera, makes her start today as well.  Father's Day in America has three exciting matches in store.  Costa Rica and Serbia will get things started but everyone is waiting for the later games.  Defending champions Germany take on Mexico in a game that will indicate if "Die Mannschaft" are as good as everyone expects.  They were not impressive at all in their final warm up matches and the always entertaining Mexicans hope to take advantage of early tournament jitters to spring an upset.  It is also a time for all BISERGSers to chant 'Mexico, Mexico' in remembrance of our reigning BISERGS champion.  The last match of the day features Brazil and Switzerland.  The South Americans hope to assert their dominance from the start of this tournament.  However, I clearly remember watching the Swiss shock Spain in the 2010 World Cup while watching in disbelief with a bunch of mechanics in a Moroccan garage.  They find themselves in the same situation this year and most believe this year's Swiss team is far better than the team that pulled of their biggest upset eight years ago.  Both of the favorites face difficult first steps towards the trophy.  Who will end day four on top of the BISERGS leader board?
